Having elected to bat first Chennai got to the worst start that they could have ever imagined. Mathew Hayden terrible form continued as he got out in just 10 balls. In these 10 balls he gave three simple catches. Captain Cool Dhoni and Badrinath then steadied the ship with a slow partnership which proved vital at the end. Ashwin and Bollinger again proved his talent with an impressive spell of 4 overs in the power play. Deccan Charges will now take on Royal Challengers for the 3rd place play off.
